May Fair 2008 is organised by a small group of local volunteers who were determined to keep the event running following a difficult twelve months.

Whilst many months of planning help to make May Fair happen each year it is only made a success with the help of others who can spare a few hours over the weekend. You could help by marshalling the running events on Sunday or being on hand to ensure that everything runs smoothly and safely throughout Fore Street on Saturday.

If you think that you can make a great event even better by helping for just a few hours, please contact the May Fair secretary on 07730 937846.

St Austell Brewery has announced a new local sponsorship of the Saltash Half Marathon for Tribute, their flagship ale brand.

The Saltash Half Marathon is part of the town’s May Fair celebrations and takes place on Sunday 4th May 2008 at 10.00a.m. The event is organised by local running club Tamar Trotters and is known in running circles as one of the hardest half marathons in Cornwall. The event also includes a fun run and the two combined normally attract over 200 runners. Press Release.
