May Fair

Following the great success of the competition held last year, The Saltash May Fair Committee and photographic processors Speedy Prints of Saltash have again combined to organise the 2010 May Fair photographic competition.

 

The recent winter weather could provide some images that have not been seen locally for some time, but any snapshot of the Saltash area in 2009/2010 will be eligible. Limited to three photographs per person, entries are to be easily identifiable views of Saltash and the PL12 area and should be emailed to Speedy Prints at ‘shop@speedyprints.co.uk’ or downloaded onto disc and taken in an envelope to Speedy Prints of Wesley Road, Saltash. Regrettably, images taken on mobile phones cannot be accepted for reproduction reasons. All entries should be clearly marked ‘Saltash May Fair Photograph Competition’ along with details of where and when the shot was taken along with a contact address and telephone number.

 

 

 

 

 

Photo Competition 2010

 

A full set of rules can be viewed at Speedy Print in Saltash, or online at www.saltashmayfair.co.uk. Closing date for entries is 1st April, when the judges will select the three best entries. All three will receive framed prints and the overall winner, who in the view of the judges has produced the best image, will also receive an engraved trophy. As last year’s competition, all entries will be presented to the town’s Heritage Museum as a snapshot of the area over the past twelve months.

 

The winners will be announced at the town’s May Fair, which is supported by Saltash Town Council, and will be held on Saturday 1st May.

 

Rules

 

1) All images are to be digital. Mobile phone images are not normally of sufficient quality for print reproduction and cannot be included.
  
 2) All entries must have been taken in 2009/2010, and must show where and when the photograph was taken.
   
3) Entries to be limited to a maximum of three images per person.
   
4) All entries can be sent to Speedy Print at their email address, shop@speedyprints.co.uk, by attachment, clearly marked ‘Saltash May Fair Photograph Competition’, or downloaded onto disc and taken to Speedy Prints Wesley Road, Saltash, in an envelope clearly marked ‘Saltash May Fair Photograph Competition’.  
   
5) All entries to be delivered by 1st April 2010.
   
 Judging of Entries
 
1) The Judging panel will consist of a maximum of 6 judges in all, with names of judges to be confirmed.

 

2) Judging to take place in April at a venue and time convenient to the panel of Judges.
  
3) Winning entries to be declared/displayed at May Fair 2010, and will be announced in the local press and websites.
